This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, April 16 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “The Easter Message of Immortality."  The service is from 11 am to 12 noon. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon. Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building. The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:40am The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

• This Friday, April 14, the chapel will be open for private meditation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm in commemoration of Good Friday. Please note that this will be a self-guided meditation.


• This Sunday, April 16, we will have our Easter potluck social immediately after services. If you would like to contribute a dish for the potluck, please email Sudha at vasudhaven@yahoo.com   Sunday School will also be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 1-13 on the Golf Street chapel grounds. All are welcome to join us in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.


• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel on Sunday, April 23 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.


• Our Spring 2017 silent retreat at Villa de Matel will be held from Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7. Those who have attended these retreats in the past are welcome to arrive a day earlier, on Thursday, May 4 in the afternoon. An information sheet and registration forms are available in the foyer. As accommodations are limited, we ask that you register only if you are sure that you will attend on the indicated dates. The deadline for registration is Sunday, April 23. • We are glad to announce that our third annual India Night event will be held on Saturday, May 27 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on our chapel grounds. This year we will be raising funds for the construction of a new Morgan Building. We plan to have various activities including: Kirtan, Indian food, gift shop, and more! The event is open to the public and we encourage all to join us for an evening of family, fun, and fellowship.  Please RSVP by May 17 by going online to www.srfhouston.org or signing up in the foyer.
