This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, April 09 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “The Balanced Life."  The service is from 11 am to 12 noon. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon. Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building. The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:40am The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.


Weekly Affirmation:

I will be calmly active, actively calm.  I will meditate regularly to maintain true balance.  I will perform all duties serenely, saturated with peace.

• Our next Harmonium Workshop will be held this Sunday, April 9 in the chapel. This workshop is open to all members and friends who are interested in either joining the Kirtan Group or would simply like to learn how to play the SRF cosmic chants on the harmonium. If you own a personal harmonium, we request that you please bring it with you to the workshop. If you have any questions about the workshop, or do not have a harmonium of your own, you may contact Arjun by emailing him at arjunraghuraman@gmail.com.


• Next Friday, April 14, the chapel will be open for private meditation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm in commemoration of Good Friday. Please note that this will be a self-guided meditation.


• Next Sunday, April 16, we will have our Easter potluck social immediately after services. If you would like to contribute a dish for the potluck, please email Sudha at vasudhaven@yahoo.com A signup sheet is also available in the chapel foyer. Sunday School will also be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on for children ages 1-13 on the Golf Street chapel grounds. All are welcome to join us in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.


• Our Spring 2017 silent retreat at Villa de Matel will be held from Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7. Those who have attended these retreats in the past are welcome to arrive a day earlier, on Thursday, May 4 in the afternoon. An information sheet and registration forms are available in the foyer. As accommodations are limited, we ask that you register only if you are sure that you will attend on the indicated dates. The deadline for registration is Sunday, April 23. • We are glad to announce that our third annual India Night event will be held on Saturday, May 27 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on our chapel grounds. This year we will be raising funds for the construction of a new Morgan Building. We plan to have various activities including: Kirtan, Indian food, gift shop, and more! The event is open to the public and we encourage all to join us for an evening of family, fun, and fellowship. Additional details will be announced shortly.
