This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, April 10 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “Jesus Christ and His Teachings.” The service is from 11 am to 12 noon. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon. Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building. The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:40 am. The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

•  Our monthly all-day meditation retreatwill be held this Saturday, April 09. This month we will have an open, 12 hour non-conducted meditation from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. You are welcome to join us at any time but we ask that you sign in when you arrive and that you enter and exit the chapel quietly.

• Our next Kirtan Workshop will be held this Sunday, April 10 in the chapel. This workshop is open to all members and friends who are interested in either joining the Kirtan Group or would simply like to learn how to play the SRF cosmic chants on the harmonium. If you own a personal harmonium, we request that you please bring it with you to the workshop. If you have any questions about the workshop, or do not have a harmonium of your own, you may contact Arjun by emailing him at arjunraghuraman@gmail.com.

• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel on Sunday, April 17 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.

• The agenda for our ‘’India Night’’ event is now finalized and can be found in the chapel foyer.  The event will be held on Saturday, April 23 from 5:00 PM onward and is open to all devotees and friends. We encourage everyone to please RSVP by Friday, April 15 either by visiting our website www.srfhouston.org or by filling out the sign-up sheet in the foyer. A suggested donation of $10 per person is requested to attend. Your donations will be used to help cover the costs of the India Night event. Donations can be made either online through our webpage or in person by cash or check. Checks can be made out to "Houston Meditation Group.’’  We hope to see you there!

• Our Spring silent retreat at Villa de Matel will be held from Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1, with an optional extra day on Thursday, April 28. The registration deadline is Sunday, April 17. Because accommodations are limited, we ask that you register only if you are certain that you will attend. Detailed information and registration forms are available in the foyer.

• Please join us this and every Sunday after the services for our weekly juice social in the Sunday School building.
