Week of September 1-September 7, 2014

In the conscious state, one is restless and the mind is more or less concerned with the breath, heart and sense perceptions, and so forth. In the sub-conscious state you can create a world of your own fancy. In the super-conscious state everything is calm, the eyes don’t wink, and the breath is stilled"

• Our next Day of Service and Fellowship is this Saturday, September 06 starting at 7:30 am. We dedicate only one day a month to the care and upkeep of Master’s sanctuary in Houston so that it remains a magnet for those seeking to meditate together or to learn of Self-Realization Fellowship for the first time. If you are planning to attend, please email Frank at frank.nadembega@gmail.com as it will help us to organize head count for the lunch on the Day of Service.

• Next Saturday, September 13, our Chapel will remain open from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for open meditation.

• As previously announced, our Houston Center will be hosting a silent retreat from Friday, October 31 through Sunday, November 02 at the T Bar M Resort in New Braunfels, Texas. It will be led by SRF Monastics - Brother Naradananda and Brahmachari Gordon. Please note that the deadline to register for the retreat is Friday, September 26.
