This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, November 18 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “Freedom from Habit Slavery.”   The service is from 11 am to 12 noon.  Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building.  The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:40am The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

• This Sunday, November 18 we will be having our annual Thanksgiving Potluck social after services in the Sunday School building to celebrate the Thanksgiving special holiday in true spiritual fellowship.   In an effort to create a better flow for the serving of food, we ask that you please enter the Sunday School building through the Nursery Door in the back of the building.  Parents can pick up their children in the classroom as they file through the line.  Ushers will be available to help guide.

• Our monthly all day meditation is scheduled for Saturday, November 24 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This month we will have a guided meditation.  An audio excerpt entitled "Let us be Thankful", by Sri Daya Ma will be played during the afternoon portion.   All are welcome to attend at any time during the day, but we ask that you enter or exit the chapel only during chants or readings.

• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel on Sunday, November 25 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.

• As previously announced, Brother Muktananda and Br. Jeff from SRF Mother Center will be visiting our Houston Center next month to conduct the all-day Christmas Meditation on December 15.  A detailed schedule will be available shortly.

• In an effort to help cover the costs of the monastic visit we kindly ask that you consider making a donation to Houston Center.  If writing a check please make it to HCSRF and write "monastic visit" in the memo line or simply drop of cash donations in the marked box in the foyer.   We thank you for your support.
