Week of May 21  - May 27, 2018

"The sorrow of separation causes most men to cry for a while; then they forget.  But the wise feel impelled to seek their vanished dear ones in the heart of the Eternal.  What devotees lose in finite life, they find again in the Infinite.

 Paramahansa Yogananda

• Our monthly all day meditation is scheduled for Saturday, May 26 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This month we will have a non-guided meditation.  All are welcome to attend at any time during the day, but we ask that you enter or exit the chapel only during chants or readings.

• Next Sunday, June 3 there will be a meeting of the Teen Group from 11 am – Noon in the Morgan Building. All teens ages 13-18 are welcome to attend.

• As previously announced, our Houston Center has an updated Bank Account and you can now make your checks payable to "Houston Center of SRF" or to "HCSRF" when making a donation offering or a book room purchase. We encourage you to no longer make them payable to ‘Houston Meditation Group’.

• Guruji said that “Group Meditation is a castle that protects the new spiritual aspirants as well as the veteran meditators. Meditating together increases the degree of Self-realization of each member of the group by the law of invisible vibratory exchange of group magnetism.”  Our Center hosts group meditations every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and from 7:00 to 10:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month. Meditations last about 45 minutes, along with a reading and chants. Devotees may enter or leave the service quietly at any time. We hope that you are able to attend.
