Week of May 14  - May 20, 2018

"In reading the scriptures it is best to take one single passage each day and meditate on that one thought and meaning alone.  Great illumination can come in this way.  Scriptures that are too hurriedly read do not reveal their regenerative significance and power."

 Paramahansa Yogananda

• This Saturday, May 19, our Chapel will remain open from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for open meditation.

• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel this Sunday, May 20 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.

• Our monthly all day meditation is scheduled for Saturday, May 26 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This month we will have a non-guided meditation.  All are welcome to attend at any time during the day, but we ask that you enter or exit the chapel only during chants or readings.

• Guruji said that “Group Meditation is a castle that protects the new spiritual aspirants as well as the veteran meditators. Meditating together increases the degree of Self-realization of each member of the group by the law of invisible vibratory exchange of group magnetism.”  Our Center hosts group meditations every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and from 7:00 to 10:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month. Meditations last about 45 minutes, along with a reading and chants. Devotees may enter or leave the service quietly at any time. We hope that you are able to attend.
