This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, April 08 for an inspirational service led by Brother Bhumananda.  The service is from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11:30 am to 12:30pm.   Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building.  The Inspirational Service is preceded by a guided meditation service from 10:30 am to 11:15 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 10:10 am. The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

Announcements:

 

• As previously announced, there will be an inspirational service at the Chapel this Thursday, April 5, which will be led by Brother Bhumananda & Br. Lynn from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This will be followed by a Juice Social with the Monastics from 8:00 pm - 8:30 pm in the Sunday School building. We hope that you will be able to attend.

 

• This Friday, April 6, the public lecture by Brother Bhumanananda entitled ‘Finding Inner Peace Through Meditation’ will be held at the Pyramid Hall of the Unity Church from 7:00 pm onward and all are welcome to attend.  You can see a great news story about SRF, Kriya Yoga, and the same lecture we are having this Friday from a Dallas-Fort Worth news station.  Watch the clip here.

 

• On Monday, April 9, we will be organizing an outing with Brother Bhumananda & Br. Lynn to visit the Houston Arboretum, which is preceded by lunch at Govinda’s restaurant from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm. If you are interested in joining us for lunch and outing with the Monastics, please contact Chetan Patel.

 

• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel next Sunday, April 15 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.

 

• All activities and events organized by the Houston Center are carried out by dedicated members and friends and we always welcome new volunteers. If you have a few hours to spare each month and would like to volunteer, please let us know by emailing us at srfhouston@gmail.com.

• Please join us this Sunday after the service for our special juice social with the Monastics in the Sunday School building.
