Week of January 01 - January 07, 2017

“In the teachings of all religions- Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and so on, one truth is stressed: that until man knows himself as Spirit, the Fountainhead of bliss, he is limited to mortal concepts and subject to the inexorable laws of nature.  Knowledge of his true being brings him eternal freedom."

• Our next Day of Service and Fellowship will be held this Saturday, January 6. If you are planning to attend, we request that you please inform Sudha by emailing him at vasudhaven@yahoo.com as this will help us to organize head count for the lunch on the Day of Service. You can also RSVP by filling out the sign-up sheet located in the chapel foyer.

• Our traditional all-day meditation commemorating the birthday of Paramahansa Yogananda will be held in the chapel next Saturday, January 13 from 9 am to 4 pm, with a 30 minute break at 1 pm. If you are unable to attend the entire duration, you may either attend the first half; or, may come at the intermission and stay for the second half. Devotees are encouraged to arrive early to have plenty of time to settle down comfortably before the meditation begins. A fruit offering is required but please note that monetary donations are not requested for this service. If you would like to offer a monetary donation, a basket will be placed in the rear of the chapel.

• Please join us this and every Sunday after the services for our weekly juice social in the Sunday School building.
