• Our monthly meditation retreat is scheduled for this Saturday, May 20 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This month we will have a guided meditation in the morning, which will include group practice of the SRF techniques of meditation. All are welcome to attend at any time during the day, but we ask that you enter or exit the chapel only during chants or readings. The SRF Energization Exercises will be conducted as a group at 9:00 am.

• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel this Sunday, May 21 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.

• As previously announced, our third annual India Night event will be held next Saturday, May 27 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on our chapel grounds. If you haven’t RSVP’d, we strongly encourage you RSVP at www.srfhouston.org. A suggested donation of $20 per adult and $10 per child is requested to attend this event. Your donations will be used towards the construction of a new Multi-Purpose Building, as well as to cover the costs of the India Night event. • All children and teens between the ages of 7 to 18 are invited to the SRF Summer Day Program in Encinitas, California. This program ushers in a new era of training for youth in our Guru’s How-to-Live spiritual principles. With guidance from SRF monastics, teens and children will have an opportunity to deepen their relationship with God, learn SRF techniques of meditation, engage in fun activities and create friendships with spiritually-minded peers. The girls week will be June 26-30 and the boys week July 3-7. Please see the flyer located in the chapel foyer, or visit the SRF website home page and click on “2017 Youth Events.”  For those from out-of-town, there are nearby state beach campgrounds and a list of nearby motels is also available on the SRF website. We recommend that you make your reservations as soon as possible because accommodations fill up quickly during the summer months. Scholarships are available for the Summer Day Program.

• Please join us this and every Sunday after the services for our weekly juice social in the Sunday School building.
