Announcements:

• Our monthly meditation retreat is scheduled for this Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This month we will have a guided meditation in the morning, which will include group practice of the SRF techniques of meditation. All are welcome to attend at any time during the day, but we ask that you enter or exit the chapel only during chants or readings. The SRF Energization Exercises will be conducted as a group at 9:00 am.

• We have been requested by the Hare Krishna temple management to inform our devotees to refrain from parking along Golf Street and instead utilize their temple parking lot. We appreciate your cooperation in this regard.

• Guruji said that “Group Meditation is a castle that protects the new spiritual aspirants as well as the veteran meditators. Meditating together increases the degree of Self-realization of each member of the group by the law of invisible vibratory exchange of group magnetism.”  Our Center hosts group meditations every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and from 7:00 to 10:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month. Meditations last about 45 minutes, along with a reading and chants. Devotees may enter or leave the service quietly at any time. These meditations are an excellent way to prepare for our upcoming all day Christmas meditation on Saturday, December 17.

• Austin Meditation Group is pleased to inform us that Brother Sevananda and Brahmachari Jason will be visiting them from Thursday, December 15 to Sunday, December 18 to conduct the all-day Christmas meditation. If you are planning to attend, please let a member of our Houston Center Managing Team know by Sunday, November 27, so an approximate head count can obtained.

• Please join us this Sunday, November 20 after the services for our annual Thanksgiving Potluck social in the Sunday School building as we celebrate the Thanksgiving special holiday in true spiritual fellowship. If you would like to contribute a dish, you may contact Corey Minck at coreymolino@gmail.com or (713) 480-3245.
