This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, October 16 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “Guru-Disciple Relationship”, which will be led by Brother Sarvananda.  The service is from 11 am to 12 noon. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon. Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building. The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:30 am The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

• As previously announced, Brother Sarvananda and Br. Troy from SRF Mother Center will be visiting our Houston Center this Sunday, October 16 to conduct the Reading Service and spend the day with us. Please join us this Sunday for the monastic led Sunday service, which will be followed by a catered vegetarian lunch in the Sunday school building. We will conclude the day with a special kirtan performance in our Chapel around 1:30pm.

• We are in need of volunteers to help with setting up of the lunch social with Bro. Sarvananda and Br. Troy on Sunday, October 16. If you are able to help, please let Sudha know at your earliest opportunity by emailing him at vasudhaven@yahoo.com

• Our monthly all-day meditation retreat will be held next Saturday, October 22. This month we will have an open, 12 hour non-conducted meditation from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. You are welcome to join us at any time but we ask that you sign in when you arrive and that you enter and exit the chapel quietly.

• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel next Sunday, October 23 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.

• All activities and events organized by the Houston Center are carried out by dedicated members and friends and we always welcome new volunteers. If you have a few hours to spare each month and would like to volunteer, please let us know by contacting a member of the Managing Team after services.
