This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, April 24 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “The Power of Concentration.” The service is from 11 am to 12 noon. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon. Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building. The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:40 am. The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

Announcements:

 

• Our ‘’India Night’’ event will be this Saturday, April 23 from 5:00 PM onward and is open to all devotees and friends. A suggested donation of $10 per person is requested to attend. Your donations will be used to help cover the costs of the India Night event. Donations can be made in person either with cash or check.  Checks can be made out to "Houston Meditation Group.’’  We encourage everyone to come by and enjoy an evening of friendship and fellowship! 

 

• The next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel this Sunday, April 24 at 12:30pm. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna. We hope that you are able to attend.

 

• Our Chapel will remain open next Saturday, April 30 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for open meditation.


• Our next Day of Service and Fellowship will be held on Saturday, May 07. We dedicate only one day a month to the care and upkeep of Master’s sanctuary in Houston so that it remains a magnet for those seeking to meditate together or to learn of Self-Realization Fellowship for the first time. We encourage everyone to join us and share this special day of Service and Fellowship with other devotees. A delicious vegetarian lunch will be provided for all those who attend, so please email Sudha (vasudhaven@yahoo.com) to help us get an accurate headcount.
