Week of November 24 - November 30, 2014

“To human consciousness, matter is both perceptible and real. But man has discovered through theoretical investigation, through logic, and through certain laboratory experiments (such as converting a visible piece of ice into invisible forces) that a permanent and unalterable creative power must underlie all the transitory and illusive forms of the phenomenal world."

Announcements:

• As we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this week, our gratitude is extended to all of you and the Managing Team wishes you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving.

• In observation of the Thanksgiving holidays, we will not have a meditation service this Thursday, November 27 and the chapel will be closed.

• Guruji said that “Group Meditation is a castle that protects the new spiritual aspirants as well as the veteran meditators. Meditating together increases the degree of Self-realization of each member of the group by the law of invisible vibratory exchange of group magnetism.”  Our Center hosts group meditations every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and from 7:00 to 10:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month. Meditations last about 45 minutes, along with a reading and chants. Devotees may enter or leave the service quietly at any time. These meditations are an excellent way to prepare for our upcoming all day Christmas meditation on Saturday, December 20.

• Our next Day of Service and Fellowship will be held on Saturday, December 6, and in addition to the regular chores, we will be also decorating the chapel for Christmas. If you are planning to attend, we request that you please inform Sudha (vasudhaven@yahoo.com) by Tuesday, December 2, as this will help us organize the head count for lunch.

• Please join us this and every Sunday after the services for our weekly juice social in the Sunday School building.
