This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday,November 16 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “Inner Resources of Health and Energy”. The service is from 11 am to 12 noon. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon. Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building. The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:40 am. The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

Announcements:

• This Saturday, November 15, our Chapel will remain open from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for open meditation.

• We are glad to announce that the producers of the movie AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda have arranged a week long screening in Houston from this Friday, November 14 to next Thursday, November 20 at the Sundance Cinema in Downtown Houston. We are looking for volunteers to assist with the publicity of the movie and by distributing the movie flyers and posters, which can be collected from our Chapel. We would appreciate if you could spread the word around.

• Our next meeting of the Bhagavad Gita Study Group will be held in the chapel this Sunday, November 16 after Service. This group is open to all members and friends who wish to read and meditate upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita – God Talks with Arjuna.

• Our monthly meditation retreat is scheduled for Saturday, November 22 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This month we will be having our Kirtan group chanting during the afternoon portion from 1:30 - 4:00 pm. The format will be approximately 15 minutes of chanting followed by approximately 5 minutes of meditation. All are welcome to attend at any time during the day, but we ask that you enter or exit the chapel only during chants or readings.

• On Sunday, November 23 we will be having our annual Thanksgiving Potluck social after service in the Sunday School building in order to celebrate the Thanksgiving special holiday in true spiritual fellowship. A sign-up sheet is located in the Chapel Foyer if you would like to contribute a dish.

• Please join us this and every Sunday after the services for our weekly juice social in the Sunday School building.
