Week of October 13 - October 19, 2014

One’s feelings and habits indicate his characteristics; but some people have cultivated the ability to hide their true feeling because they don’t want to expose themselves to others. The study of physical characteristics and the study of the emotions should be combined for the most accurate analysis."

 - Paramahansa Yogananda

• Guruji said that “Group Meditation is a castle that protects the new spiritual aspirants as well as the veteran meditators. Meditating together increases the degree of Self-realization of each member of the group by the law of invisible vibratory exchange of group magnetism.”  Our Center hosts group meditations every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and from 7:00 to 10:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month. Meditations last about 45 minutes, along with a reading and chants. Devotees may enter or leave the service quietly at any time. These meditations are an excellent way to prepare for our upcoming Silent Retreat at New Braunsfels from Friday, October 31 to Sunday, November 01.

• On Thursday, October 30, we will be having a guided meditation and Satsanga in our chapel from 7:00 pm – 9:00pm, which will be led by SRF Monastics - Brother Naradananda and Brahmachari Gordon.
