Week of May 26th - June 1st, 2014

"Everyone should learn to analyze themselves. Mentally they are mechanical products of the factory of their environment, preoccupied with breakfast, lunch and dinner, working and sleeping and going here and there to be entertained. They don’t know what or why they are seeking, nor why they never complete happiness and lasting satisfaction."

 - Paramahansa Yogananda

This Week's Services:

Please join us this Sunday, June 1 for our weekly Service Reading entitled “Self-Analysis: Key to the Mastery of Life". The service is from 11 am to 12 noon. Sunday School for children ages 3-12 is also held from 11 am to 12 noon. Parents with younger children may enjoy the service from the infant room located in the Sunday School building. The Reading Service is preceded by a meditation service from 10 to 10:45 am, and by group practice of the Self-Realization Fellowship Energization Exercises at 9:40 am. The Center is open to the public for services and special activities.

Weekly Affirmation:

"May we, Thine eager pilgrim children, easily reach our Home by following the inner light – intuition, Thy holy beacon.”

(Whispers from Eternity)

  • Our next Day of Service and Fellowship is next Saturday, June 07 starting at 8:00 am. If you are planning to attend, please email Sudha at vasudhaven@yahoo.com as it will help us to organize head count for the lunch on the Day of Service.
  • Our Houston Center will be holding our first harmonium workshop on Sunday, June 08 after the Service. This workshop is open to all members and friends, who would like to learn how to play the cosmic chants on the harmonium.
