Dear Members and Friends,

At our General Business Meeting this past Sunday, the group discussed the current status of our Audio Visual equipment at the Chapel. After a professional team checked out the cabling and the control system (including an independent contractor), it was determined that the system was old, worn and needed replacing. We all agreed that our existing Speaker and Microphone cables are aging, and that Ushers are constantly having to adjust and fix our current system in order to keep it functioning properly. It was decided that this was the right time to upgrade our cables to keep in line with the upgrades in technology and potentially integrate a control system to control Audio, Video and Lighting.

During our budget meeting in February, the Audio-Visual Committee presented a budgetary estimate (click here to view) of the cabling cost, which includes volunteers to help with installing the crown molding. The budgetary estimate provided was $4500 for the cabling associated with Solution C.

In order to raise funds for the Audio-Visual cabling, the group voted in favor of organizing a donation drive with the goal of collecting $4,500 to initiate the audio-visual equipment upgrades. After we collect the necessary donations of $4,500, we will begin the work. We hope to achieve this goal within three months.

We have a basket and envelopes placed on the brown podium in the foyer, where devotees can deposit cash or checks with the description on the envelope indicating it for Audio-Visual (AV) equipment. We are also working on initiating paypal automatic transfers, in case some devotees would like to setup automatic monthly deductions. We will have an 8" x 10" poster in the foyer with a Goal Thermometer to update everyone with the current efforts of this fundraising activity. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this fundraising drive, please contact any member of the managing team by emailing us at

Thank you.
